I am excited to share with you that the City of Mississauga received global recognition for its work in the aerospace industry by fDi Magazine’s Aeropsace Cities of the Future 2018/19 report.

Mississauga was ranked second in the innovation and attractiveness category. This category recognized cities that have a significant number of aerospace patents, a high number of companies in the engineering and aerospace sectors and other areas.

Mississauga also ranked second for its strategy in the aerospace sector. The report cited Mississauga as having the most aerospace businesses and employment in all of Canada.

Mississauga continues to see strong investment and growth in our aerospace sector, like the recent announcement from Bombardier who will be opening a new centre of excellence and final assembly plant for its business jets right here in Mississauga.

Not many people know that Mississauga is Canada’s largest aerospace sector based on number of employment and businesses, and to be recognized on a global platform is something to be proud of.
