City of Mississauga Celebrates Completion of MCLP with Program Participants

On April 2nd, the City of Mississauga celebrated with participating local businesses, the completion of the Mississauga Climate Leaders GHG (Greenhouse Gas) Training and GHG Site Assessment programs.

The Training and Site Assessment programs were part of the Mississauga Climate Leaders Program (MCLP), a pilot program the City developed to support local business efforts to reduce their GHG emissions and improve their economic competitiveness. The GHG Training program was a four-part series providing participants, customized training to identify and develop profitable decarbonization pathways. The GHG Site Assessment program included site walk-throughs by a team of experts to identify actions for each participant to reduce GHG emissions, save energy and lower costs.

Congratulations to each of the participating business for their leadership in advancing sustainable business growth in Mississauga!

In recognition of their achievements, each participating business was presented with a certificate of completion by City of Mississauga, Acting Mayor, Matt Mahoney.

Thank you to all our supporting organizations, including Partners In Project Green, Mississauga Board of Trade, Enviro-Stewards, Region of Peel, Enbridge Gas Inc., Save On Energy, and Sheridan College. We couldn’t have delivered this program without you!
