Guidelines for Mandatory Face Covering By-Law – Webinar, Jul 13

To reduce the spread of COVID-19 and to build on the progress that we have made thus far, the City of Mississauga has enacted a by-law that makes the wearing of a face covering mandatory in all indoor locations that are accessible to the public.

In this online webinar we are joined by Samuel Rogers, Director of Enforcement at the City of Mississauga, and Louise Aubin, Director of Health Protection with Peel Public Health to provide:

  • Guidance to businesses on the City’s by-law requirement of wearing face coverings in indoor public spaces
  • General guidance on mask usage

Guest Speakers

Samuel Rogers | Director of Enforcement, City of Mississauga

Bio: Sam Rogers has been the Director of Enforcement since May 1, 2017 and was previously the Manager of Security Services. Sam is responsible for managing all business functions of the Enforcement Division including overseeing services and operations for Animal Services, Compliance and Licensing, Mobile Licensing and Parking Enforcement. Prior to joining the City, Sam was a Senior Manager, Global Protective Services at Scotiabank. He is a retired Major in the Canadian Armed Forces and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2009. Sam holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in international business from Bishop’s University.

Louise Aubin | Director of Health Protection, Region of Peel – Public Health

Bio: Louise Aubin is the Director of Health Protection with Peel Public Health. Her current responsibilities include food and water safety programs, public health hazard investigations, the prevention and management of vector borne diseases, tobacco control, vaccine prevention programs, and air quality modelling, climate change adaptation, and other local environmental health issues. Within Peel Public Health’s COVID-19 Response, Louise provides direction and support to the Operations section, specifically on issues related to enforcement, safe reopening of business and child care centres, and requests for service. She holds a Masters degree in Environmental Studies from York University and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Toronto.
