Program Overview.

The Mississauga Climate Leaders Program (MCLP) aims to support local private and public sector leaders committed to measuring and reducing their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and leading Mississauga towards a net zero future.

Delivered by the City of Mississauga in partnership with the Mississauga Board of Trade and Partners in Project Green, the MCLP will provide opportunities for local organizations to promote, develop and advance their sustainability goals through specialized support programs and events.

Attend Action-Oriented Workshops

Network with peers & subject matter experts and review local business case studies that address themes: GHG Reduction Opportunities, Engaging Employees to Drive Climate Action, and Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) Disclosure & Reporting.

Raise the Profile of Your Sustainability Intiatives

Share your success stories with the wider community through City platforms, including: City of Mississauga Climate Leader Spotlight, Business Newsletter & Social Channels

What We Offer.

Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emission Reduction Plan Training

Complete a customized training and support program developed and delivered by Enviro-Stewards that will help you create and implement a profitable plan to reduce your GHG emissions, save energy and improve your margins. Participation fee is $1,500.

Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emission & Energy Efficiency Site Assessments

Partners in Project Green will lead a team of technical experts in a walk-through of your facility to identify actions your organization can take to reduce GHG emissions, save energy and lower costs. Upon completion, participants will receive a summary report identifying suggested actions and funding sources to support implementation.

City of Mississauga Celebrates Completion of MCLP with Program Participants

On April 3rd, the City of Mississauga celebrated with participating local businesses, the completion of the Mississauga Climate Leaders GHG (Greenhouse Gas) Training and GHG Site Assessment programs. 

The Training and Site Assessment programs were part of the Mississauga Climate Leaders Program (MCLP), a pilot program the City developed to support local business efforts to reduce their GHG emissions and improve their economic competitiveness. 

Congratulations to each of the participating business for their leadership in advancing sustainable business growth in Mississauga.

Green-minded Mississauga Businesses Tackle GHG Emissions

On October 4th, the first group of Mississauga businesses participating in the Mississauga Climate Leaders Program (MCLP) kicked off their (Greenhouse Gas) GHG Training Program. The program, delivered by the City of Mississauga through Enviro-Stewards, is a four-part education and skills development series that will help participating local businesses identify and advance cost-effective ways to improve their energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
